Words create. They craft stories. Make promises. Inspire possibilities.

My-One-Word is a way to become more intentional about a change you want to make in your life.

Words have power. What words would propel you forward day-by-day, week-by-week, and month-by-month?

Creative Challenge

Think about what you want and need right now. Brainstorm nouns: joy, courage, kindness, service, resilience, serenity.

Think about what you want to do. List verbs: envision, start, build, make, believe, balance, nurture, grow, connect, inspire.

Choose your word.

What will you create with your one word? How about a My-One-Word mug rug?

As I sip coffee in the morning and write in my journal, this little mug rug reminds me to be mindful about how I can choose love in my words and deeds of the day.

This LOVE mug rug was created with a Sentiment Panel from the You are Loved collection, introduced in this post which includes a list of products I used to make it.

In the Studio...

A little book by Marie Kondo not only challenged me to tidy up my home, it actually inspired my first one-word, JOY. After reading her book, I not only cleaned out no-longer-sparks-joy items in my closets, I discovered how to bring more joy to my daily T0-DO list. Life changing, indeed.

Over time, your words become your story. What will your story be?

My journey with MY-ONE-WORD is joyful. It adds COLOR, INTENTION, DARING, and LOVE to my days. Here are some books that guided me along the way. I'm also including a book I've pre-ordered because I have a feeling it may BECOME important.

“I hope you’ll also think about your own story, and trust that it will help you become whoever you aspire to be. Your story is what you have, what you will always have. It is something to own.” - Michelle Obama
